Geldard Card Services Limited was established in Christchurch in May 2008. The family team behind the company have had extensive experience in the card industry and have worked together successfully for many years.
In Dec. 1982 John was offered the role of establishing a plastic card manufacturing facility in Christchurch for a joint venture between two of New Zealands foremost printing companies.
John was General Manager of the company from its inception in 1983 to its success in 2001 where the company exported to 30 countries from South America to Europe and had manufacturing facilities in New Zealand and Australia plus offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Hong Kong.
John then moved to a Business Development role where he was involved in new technology relating to smart cards, including contactless, contact and dual interface. The products are being used in ID cards, Passports, Transport, Security and Financial. You can contact John at email@example.com.
Lyn began work in the Plastic card Industry in 1984 and was involved in processing manual Photo ID cards. In those days an actual photo was manually placed into the cards and laminated before being cut to shape. Lyn worked in the factory before being transferred to the office where she was relieving receptionist, time sheet data entry, accounts payable and invoicing.
